The Shelbyville Lady Golden Bears suffer their first loss of the season Friday night at Pendleton Heights 63-44. The Bears played hard in the first half trailing after one 12-11, and 24-22 at halftime. In the third Pendleton began hitting their perimeter shots and led by nine after three. It was all Pendleton Heights in the fourth outscoring the Bears 23-13. The Lady Bears were led in scoring by LeeAnn Douglas and Dana Gardner with 11 a piece, Lauren Murphy 10, Ashley Ayers 9, Melanie Clark 2, and Julie Snuffer 1. Pendleton was led in scoring by Susan Lester 21, and Carly Clendenen 18. The Lady Bears will be in action Tuesday night against Greenfield Central at Garrett Gymnasium JV start is 6 PM Varsity at 7:30 PM. Lady Bears are (1-1)in HHC play and (4-) overall.
Shelbyville girls pull out win at Columbus North.
Shelbyville Lady Bears move to 4-0 with a win over Columbus North 57-55 Saturday night. Columbus led 17-11 after one. Columbus led 28-16 with 4:00 minutes to go in the first half when Shelbyville scored the last 14 points to lead at halftime 30-28. The Bears were outscored 17-13 in the third but with the lead 45-43. In the forth with the score tied at 55 apiece and :20 seconds remaining the Bears in-bounded the ball under North's basket. Julie Snuffer lost the handle on the ball but Ashley Ayres picked up the lose ball at mid court, passed to LeeAnn Douglas at the free throw line who made an excelent bounce pass through two defenders to Julie Snuffer who laid it in for the win. Shelbyville was led in scoring by Lauren Murphy 20, LeeAnn Douglas 14, Dana Gardner 8, Lauren Rees 7, and Julie Snuffer 4. Columbus was led by Brittany Bowen's 21. Next up for the Golden Bears is Pendelton Heights in HHC matchup Friday Nov. 26th at 6:00 pm JV tipoff 7:30pm varsity tip.

The Shelbyville Lady Golden Bears go to 3-0 after a come from behind victory Tuesday night at Indpls. Roncalli. The Lady Bears led after one period 12-11 They were outscored 9-5 in the second period and Roncalli led at halftime 20-17. They were outscored 10-7 in the third period Roncalli lead grew to six at 30-24. In the forth period Shelbyville outscored Roncalli 21-12 for a final score of 45-42 and a Shelbyville victory. The Bears were led in scoring by Lauren Murphy 18, LeeAnnDouglas 17, Dana Gardner and Ashley Ayers with 4 apiece, and Lauren Rees 2. Roncalli was led in scoring by Jenna Wampler's 23. The JV lost Tuesday Night to Roncalli 35-24. Next up for the Lady Golden Bears is a trip to Columbus to take on the North Bulldogs Saturday Night Nov. 20th JV tipoff is at 6:00 and Varsity at 7:30.
