Another Great Day for La Mirada at Central Park!

The La Mirada Cross Country teams earned two more 1^st place trophies and a 3^rd place award at the Central Park Invitational. Here are the summaries of the races:

• The Varsity Girls, behind stellar performances from Amber Morrison, Amanda Stephens and Vanessa Thomas, placed 3^rd in their race. As their team time continues to drop, the girls have maintained less than a minute gap between their 1^st and 6^th runners. This was by far the best performance of the season for the lady Mats.

• The Freshman boys, led by yet another 1^st place finish from Nathaniel Moore (17:10), finished far ahead of the competition with a team score of 33 points. Jared Bird and Calvin Guerrero finished 4^th and 8^th respectively.

• The Junior Varsity Girls, paced by Jessica Jorrie, finished 1^st for the second consecutive week. Due to a tie between the first two teams, the outcome of the race was determined by the 6^th place finisher (Joy Jure).

• The Varsity Boys, paced by Alex Foster, Dag Tesfaye, and Jason Cabalitan, performed admirably
