CHICO YOUTH SOCCER LEAGUE FALL REGISTRATION
Registration for FALL Soccer
Chico Youth Soccer League is currently accepting registration for fall soccer. Openings are available for boys and girls born in the years 2005 – 2014. The registration fee is $80. CYSL is a recreational youth soccer program serving Chico and surrounding areas.
The season begins in August with games starting in September and continuing through the end of October. All games are played on Saturday at 20th Street Community Park.
Registration packets are available at Play It Again Sports and the CARD office. They can also be downloaded HERE. The completed forms will need to be mailed to the league at P.O. Box 1537, Chico, CA, 95927.
Players “new to CYSL” need to provide proof of birthdate with one of the following: copy of
a birth certificate, or immunization record, passport or hospital certificate. After May 11th, placement on a team will be subject to space availability. Registration will continue by mail until teams are full.
The league is also looking for coaches, referees, and team sponsors. Additional information is available by contacting the league at (530) 894-1088 or cysl@sbcglobal.net.
FEES: $80.00.
After August 1st, registration is $90.00
DATES OF PLAY:
Games will be played on Saturdays beginning September 7, 2019 and will
continue through October 26, 2019. November
2nd is reserved for make-up games. All games will be played at 20th
Street Community Park.
UNIFORMS: Uniforms
consist of a colored T-shirt (provided by the league for participating players only).
You will need to purchase a pair of all
white shorts and solid
colored socks to match the T-Shirt. (No stripes on shorts or socks).
Shin guards are mandatory during practice and games. Soccer shoes or turf shoes
are acceptable. No metal or toe cleats
allowed.

Referee Kickoff Meeting for Spring 2015
The kick-off meeting for returning referees who want to work the spring season will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. at my office, Culp and Tanner, in the Capitol Building at 55 Independence Circle, Suite 201 in Philadelphia Square off Eaton Road between the Esplanade and the freeway. See the attached map.
The purpose of this meeting is:
1. Sign up for games for the first Saturday of the season (September 6th). Fill out the Referee First Day of the Season Game Request Form that you will receive from me via email (it will also be posted on the Handouts tab when the game schedule has been set) and bring it to the meeting. If you are unable to make the meeting due to other prior commitments, you must call or email Wes Hocking in advance of the meeting.
2. Receive additional training. The USSF requires licensed referees to have a minimum of 5 hours of additional training every year.
3. Review law changes and changes in pay rates and the required USSF licensing in the fall.
4. Ask questions and make suggestions. Your input is welcomed and encouraged.
Those who attend will get first choice of games for the first day of the season and will receive added priority when games are assigned for subsequent weeks.
