HAZLETON HURRICANES

The Greater Hazleton Hurricanes win big at the Blue Mountain Invitational Tournament with 4 wins and no losses. Although the Hurricanes never trailed, the Canes had tough competition from Schuylkill and Berks County Teams. Great defense by Billy Leitner, Karl Leitner, Bobby Whitley, Josh Miller and supported by excellent goaltending by John Basista. The Hurricanes allowed the fewest goals of the tournamnet. Chris Pilla, Jay Pilla, Corey Sackrison, and Cody Wisneiski combined to score the most goals of the tournament. Besides outstanding play, the Greater Hazleton Hurricanes had alot of fun at a very well run tournament. The Blue Mountain Tournament is run by the Boosters to send Blue Mountain soccer players overseas to train in England. The Hurricanes remain undefeated in this tournament for the second year in a row. Hurricanes will be conducting tryouts for the Spring Team during March and April.
