2000 Golden Jet Award

The first Golden Jet Award went to Josh Varney who began his 4 year career as a Jaguar. He played Jaguar JV in 1998 & 1999, before volunteering to go to the Jets Varsity when they were formed. He played for the Jets in 2000 and 2001.

He was their center both seasons, and showed leadership and dedication, by working to make weight and playing hurt.

Update: Josh played with the Bucks from 2004-2007 as an Offensive and Defensive lineman. He won the Golden Buck Award as a senior. He is currently attending college at West Liberty College in West Virginia. He was a member of the 2008 Hilltoppers Football team as an Offensive lineman, redshirted the 2009 season and returned to the Offensive Line in 2010. Josh was a senior offensive lineman on the 2012 edition of the West Liberty Hilltoppers and graduated in the Spring of 2013.
