Hi all. Remember how we joked that we’d be frozen out of practices long enough that we’d start to have them cancelled by excessive warmth? Well, that day is here. Outdoor practices cancelled until further notice. Don’t expect them to resume until the weather sustains a high of -10C.

Hi all, while it appears the issue will be made moot by the weather, we don’t have practice ice tonight. We do have ice at 7:30 on Thursday at Melrose. We’ll also work with the coaches to see about filling some more holes with indoor ice. Other practices scheduled remain unchanged.

We’ve been looking for a replacement tournament for the NK Tourney and I’ve come up with two options.
The first is the Spring Classic. Likely to be a repeat of the Christmas Challenge. Same organizers.
The second is a tournament in Portage la Prairie at the end of March (after the expected end of playoffs). It has play at House League up to AA. The cost is less than the Spring Classic but for the most benefit, involves Thurs., Fri., and Sat. hotel stays (first game could be at 8 a.m. Friday). Please advise your thoughts, parents.

Hi all, as you’ll see from the schedule, our next game is at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Richmond. Our next game after that will either be at 4:15 if we win or 3 p.m. if we lose (either way, that game is at Kinsmen Allard Arena). Our game on Monday will either be at 8:45 or at 10 a.m., either way at St. Vital Arena. If we finish 1st or 2nd in the Red Pool, it’s at 10. If we finish 3rd or 4th, it’s at 8:45. In the Red Pool playoffs, we start from scratch with two round-robin games for placement in the Red Pool final.
