Hey there Sluggers! This is Coach Brian with some info on the beginning of the season! Games start this weekend and we face off against the MA4 Minor A team (I’m sure they’ll pick a name before the season starts. We play at 6:30pm on the Poway National Little League (PNLL) Minor A field. Let’s arrive at 5:15 so the players can warm up and get used to one another before our game.

I pick up uniforms tomorrow and if you don’t have dinner plans I will be at the Poway Round Table Pizza from 6:30pm until 7:30pm so we can meet each other and you guys can pick up the uniforms. I don’t know what color we will be and I heard it is a first come first serve, so we get what we get! I hope everyone can come by and have some pizza, salad bar and beer and get to know one another!

So far I have three coaches, Doug Miller, Scott Henderson and Nathan Mundy. That being said, when we do have practice I encourage all willing to grab a glove and come to the field to help! Our games will not have umpires, so we will alternate calling balls and strikes from behind the pitchers mound.
I will do my best to get each player equal playing time and let them try positions they may not be good at, which will help them improve! Fall ball is super relaxed and its about having fun and keeping the baseball gears oiled up and ready for spring ball!! That being said, when we do have practices, they will be completely optional and limited to at most one per week.
