Dates: Saturday June 11th and Sunday June 12th
Players would need to be in Phoenix Friday night (the 10th) and will be free to leave after we finish playing on Sunday.

Location of play: The Salvation Army Kroc Center, 1375 E Broadway Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85040

Hotel: Radisson Hotel, 7475 W Chandler Blvd, Chandler, AZ 85226
A group of rooms will be blocked off for our team. It is recommended to stay here as a group, but is not necessary at all. Just a reminder that the Kroc center is in a bad area of town, so trying to stay closer is not recommended. Price for the rooms would be $115 a night plus a free breakfast both mornings we are there. It would also be extremely fun for the girls to all be in the same hotel together.

Practice times: Tuesdays 4-5:30 pm and Thursdays 4-5:30 both times on court 4.

Fees: total extended cost would be $300 plus travel, food and hotel while we are in Phoenix. The $300 includes the cost of practice times, the tournament entrance fee, my coaches pay, and my coaches perdium. The perdium is the cost of my travel and hotel for the tournament.

Hello Team!!!

I hope everyone has been enjoying their time off. I have arranged for our team to have a team meeting this coming Friday, February 26th, at 4:30 p.m. in the office classroom. We have a new player that has joined our team for the second session, so I would like to get her and her parents introduced to everyone else. I also want to go over some expectations for the second session, now that everyone knows how its going to be set up. Please be sure that at least one parent attends with their daughter to the meeting; it is not mandatory that both parents attend. I would like everyone to get the same information at the same time.

Also, don’t forget that T.A.P starts tomorrow! If anyone wants to have a private lesson to work on their daughter’s skills a bit before we have team practices, just let me know and we can coordinate with Senobia to get a court. Since the girls are on my team the price for lessons is reduced because we don’t get charged a court fee, only $20 per girl. Also the girls can absolutely do lessons with multiple team members, or just by themselves. We only get two practices before our first tournament on March 13th!

Good Afternoon! The girls played great this morning.

ARVC as a club as certain expectations of the girls while they are at a tournament that we are hosting. We had more then half of our team leave today before any information was given regarding when we played tomorrow, or without getting my approval. The girls, being ARVC players, must help pick up trash before they leave.This is a club policy. At the parent meeting at the beginning of the session, I did cover expectations regarding tournaments that included this information. Please be sure that for tomorrow and for our last tournament of this first session that these rules are abided by, no exceptions. I appreciate your understanding and thank you to those that did stay.

We play at 9 a.m., so please have the girls there at 8:30 so they can get ready to play. The girls should wear their grey tee shirt to the gym tomorrow. They also need to have both jerseys again. I suggest just handwashing the jerseys they wore today. That is what I used to do when I played, and it was always really helpful.

Hey Team!

The girls played great yesterday, and I am so very proud of them. Practice is still a go for today, although I will not be there. My son woke up with a fever and I have not been able to get it to completely disappear, so I will have to stay home with him. The girls should still follow the tee shirt order, so since they wore their red shirts to the tournament yesterday, they should wear black to practice today. They will be coached today by a ARVC coach that I have a lot of experience with as a player myself, so they will be in good hands. :)
