Harbour View Junior Lady Vikings

I received an e-mail from the coach that is organizing the tournament and he said he will call me if he decides to cancel it. If he does cancel it on Friday he would like to have it on Saturday and Sunday. I do not have a problem with this but I would like to know if anyone else does. I will cancel the rooms for Friday night and rebook them for Saturday night. Please call me ASAP if you have any questions, comments, or concerns about doing this. If the majority of parents do not want to go to the alternative date then we will not go. My phone # is 647-6864

I would have to say that tonight’s game was the best game so far. The girls fought back and pulled within 1 point with 5 minutes but fell short in the end. They are improving every game before our eyes. They are starting to do all the little things right that we want them to do, passing to break presses instead of trying to dribble through them. Passing the ball to the open players and playing great team defense. I am very happy with them tonight and I think we can beat that team when we play them next. The three stars for the game were Jackie with her hard work for getting open on the offensive end. Blondie who along with Jayne leads our defense (Blondie had 5 steals)and the third star goes to Jayne who had 15 points including 3 three pointers. Another note was that Jackie and Emily both had 12 rebounds a piece.

I do not know how the weather will be this afternoon so I would rather be safe then sorry with so many of you living quite a distance from the school. Can someone please contact Erin since she is the only one not on this list. I will call her but just in case I am busy and forget to could someone please do this for me.

We will need drives for the players and hopefully the coaching staff.

I think we should meet after the game on Thursday against Rothesay to talk about our arrangements for the Miramichi Tournament. I have 8 rooms booked at the Best Value Inn and I believe that there might not be enough rooms for all of the parents that will be going. I am willing to share a room with one of the parents but we have 3 rooms for the players and one for the other coaches which leaves 3 more rooms. We need to get the straightened out before we go plus we have to determine who will be driving. I would like to leave as early as possible on Friday so we can make sure we get there on time. I believe the earliest we can leave is at 1PM. The first game we play is at 7PM against Moncton High School.
