This Week in Lady Titan Lacrosse - Week of 18 NOV

Posted by Jay Hertzler on Nov 18 2019 at 06:08AM PST in 2019 Season

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

We are entering the week before the Thanksgiving holiday. I don’t know about you, but I feel that time is just flying by. Last week we held our annual Informational Meeting and had a full room, which is always a good sign. I am excited to see so many students interested in joining our family. Remember to share our Registration dates so nobody misses out. Even though we are not currently doing any organized lacrosse activities right now, there are still many things to do. Here’s a list of “to-do” items that everyone will need to complete…preferably prior to Registration next month. Please make every effort to take care of these action items as soon as you can so we aren’t scrambling to get these taken care of in February.

US Lacrosse Membership. If you have a membership, please renew the membership and make sure it’s valid through 1 JUNE 2020 or later. If you are coming up from the Youth lacrosse ranks, make sure you change your membership level to “High School”. If you are new to lacrosse, please go to www.uslacrosse.org and choose “Players” and “Join US Lacrosse” When filling out your information, you may be asked what organization you are a part of. Look for Kansas City Girls Lacrosse or Lee’s Summit Lacrosse. Either will work. Your annual cost will be $35/year, and will need to paid via credit card. If the player is under 18, the parent will need to make a parent profile (but don’t pay for your membership), then build a player profile and pay for that one. If you are having issues, call them at 1-410-235-6882 and they can help.

Online Registration is now OPEN – Click this link: https://teampages.com/forms/21264-2020-Spring-Season-Lacrosse-Registration and complete the required fields. This webpage is for gathering personal information only and does NOT take the place of the in-person registration we have scheduled for 7 DEC and 11 DEC. The coaching staff needs to collect information like: contact information, US Lacrosse membership number and expiration date, any medical conditions we need to be aware of, emergency contact information, etc… Please make sure you have joined/renewed your US Lacrosse membership before completing the online registration so we have the most current information. In the online registration, there are some questions asking if you have read the Lacrosse Handbook and Transportation policy. I have attached the document for your reading pleasure.

In-Person Registration: We can always use volunteers to help out. If you are interested, please let me know. Also, we need every student who comes to registration to bring her Chromebook in case we need to log into a website (i.e. TeamPages or US Lacrosse).

Here are the two dates again:
- Saturday 7 DEC: 9am – 1pm in the LSW Library is Day 1 of Registration for the 2020 Spring season.
- Wednesday 11 DEC: 5pm – 8pm in the LSW Library is Day 2 of Registration for the 2020 Spring season (in case you could not make it to Day 1).
New players will need to try on uniforms to get properly sized, so please be ready to try on the uniform when you arrive. New players will also have the opportunity to chose their jersey number from available numbers when they arrive.
For the new players who will be joining our family for the first time, here’s a list of fees you can expect so you can be better prepared for registration:
IMPORTANTPAYMENT FOR REGISTRATION IS VIA CASH OR CHECK ONLY, NO CREDIT CARDS.
- Annual Club Due = $225
- Cost of Uniform of which you will own (skirt and reversible top) = $102 ($58 for the top, $44 for the skirt)
- Socks = $10/pair (we recommend 2 pairs)
- US Lacrosse Membership = $35/year. This will need to be done at www.uslacrosse.org and pay via credit card and must be valid through 1 JUNE 2020. You will NOT pay us for this.

Also, we are planning on having Spiritwear available for ordering or for purchase (as well as the favorite swag item, the Boathouse jacket) so bring extra money. The first open window for our online store has already closed, but the second window will open on 7 DEC. Here’s the link:

IMPORTANT – before the start of the Spring season (last week of FEB), each player will be required to have a valid Sports physical on file on the LSR7 PRIVT website. (The sports office will not accept paper copies). Any player without a valid sports physical on file will NOT be allowed to step on the field when the Spring season officially starts on 2 MARCH 2020. If you have a current physical on file, please confirm with Monte Seabaugh in the Sports office that your physical will be valid for Spring 2020. I attached a “how-to” document on how to upload the physical in last week’s email.
Here’s the website: https://lswtitans-mo.e-ppe.com/index.jspa

Helmet Order – For those who have ordered helmets, Coach Ernie has received the first delivery of about half the helmets. Once has received delivery of all the helmets, we will make arrangements for helmet pickup.

I know that’s a lot of information, but there’s a lot going on from a “housekeeping” perspective. If anyone has any questions, please call or text me at 816-977-5707 or email me at lswhsgirlslax@gmail.com

Have a great week!
~Coach Jay
