Juniors Sundevils Getting On-Track

Posted by Steve Poore at Apr 22, 2009 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

The Juniors team of BTLL & MILL lost their first game 16 – 12, coming back from an early walk fest that spotted the Sno Valley team 10 runs in their bottom half of the first.  We scored 6 runs in the 5th inning on multiple base hits on a very muddy field to make a game of it.

Then last night, we got off to an early 8 run lead and kept adding to our lead winning 17 – 5 in 4-1/2 innings at our co-home field in Newport Hills against the Eastlake Wolves.  The Sundevils show solid progress after only a few complete practices, with some steady defense, improving pitching performances, and some nice hitting throughout the game to fill the basepaths and score an average of over 14 runs after 2 games.
