Baseball Bats for 2018 Season

Posted by Becky Shaddle on Oct 11 2017 at 05:00PM PDT

Bats for the 2018 Season (Baseball only)

For the 2018 season, Little League is changing their bat standards.  The change will align Little League’s standards with those of USA Baseball, the governing body of amateur baseball in the United States.  Bats in the 2018 season will require a “USA Bat” stamp on them.  Any bat without the stamp will not be legal in Little League.  The change means that any bat used in the 2017 season will not be legal for the 2018 season (because it doesn’t have the stamp).  It also means that any bat purchased prior to fall 2017 (when bats with the stamp will go on sale) will also not be legal in the 2018 season.

Little League has a page on their website addressing the change.  You can see it here. http://www.littleleague.org/learn/equipment/baseballbatinfo.htm

We recognize this is an inconvenience and an expense for many of you.  This is a mandate though and it will be enforced next season. Please let us know if you have any questions.
