Chapter House successfully defended the Ambis Cup by defeating Pure Romance 4-1 in the deciding game of the championship series. Pure Romance pressured early in a hard skated first period only to fall behind 1-0 on a Chapter House tally with 28 seconds remaining in the period.
Chapter House extended their lead to 3-0 during the second period, in which they held a slight edge in play. Pure Romance struck quickly in the third, with a power play goal just 20 seconds into the period. Pure Romance pressured during several man-up opportunities in the period, but was unable to close the score. An empty net goal with two minutes remaining sealed the win for Chapter House.
Chapter House won the regular season for the second straight year, this year with a record of 21-3-2. Pure Romance posted a very strong second place standing with a 15-6-5 record, 16 points ahead of the third place team.
