Welcome to Powell Girls Softball!

Alright folks...the season is well underway and things seem to be moving along pretty well.  We are all in a bit of learning curve, but we'll all be better on the other side of it! I want to thank everyone for their support of the league this fall. 

I would like to take this opportunity to announce my first selection for our new board. Let's all welcome Alicia Grooms to the board as our new vice president! Alicia is one of our 6u coaches and has been a great help to us thus far. She comes in with a tremendous amount of knowledge about the game, having both played and coached at a college level.

For anyone that would like to be more involved in the growth of our program, please contact Alicia or myself about how you can help. We will determine how many board members we will have here in the near future. After that, anyone interested can come and sit down with us to discuss our plan and their plan and how we can get the best program for our girls! We are constantly looking for help on any scale. If the being a board member is not for you, but you still want to be involved, please talk to us and i am sure we can find something. Thank you again for all your support.

 We will be doing a community service project this fall also. I have been approached by the Moose Lodge in Knoxville to participate in their ident-a-kid program.  This is similar to the identification cards that the kids get when they go to safety city.  The difference here is that you will be given a cd with your child's information on it that can be given to authorities in the event of an emergency. This will be completely free to all who want to fill out the forms and let us input the data! That means brothers, sisters, cousins, neighbors, friends from school...anyone!

Due to the overwhelming response and good time had by all who attended......we will be doing another lady vol night next spring!  I will let you know when we plan on doing this so stay tuned.

 Remember folks, powell levi park runs football, baseball, and softball.  We all have to work together to make this work. Please refer to the schedule above for times.  If somone is on the field, tell them that you are scheduled for that time and ask them to finish up.  If there are issues, please call me. If you want more field time, call me and schedule it please.  And as always, I have no control over tournaments.  So, if the park has a tournament, understand that it takes precedence over practices and call me and I will try to work something out with the baseball commissioner if at all possible.  Thanks folks. I really appreciate your understanding and cooperation. This is why this program is the place to play!
