50-70 Pilot Program coming to a league near you?

Little League Baseball's newest division is a 50-70 Pilot Program for players who are league age 12-13.
 
Participation in the 50-70 Pilot Program requires registration, and amending the league's Charter accordingly. We have made this process simple by creating an on-line sign-up page for League Presidents, which can be found at the second link below.
 
Please note that the 50-70 Pilot Program does NOT take the place of the traditional "46-60" Major Division, nor does it take the place of the 60-foot, six-inches pitching distance and 90-foot base paths for Junior League. It is, rather, a transitional program between those two divisions that we hope will result in the retention of more players when they reach the teen years.
 
The new optional program will not have a full range of tournament play for 2010, although leagues/districts/states can set up Special Games Tournaments after the regular season.
