Morro Bay Invitational
Held at Morro Bay HS. This Central Coast affair introduces inland teams to running in beach sand…and it’s no fun! Los Osos always kicks off their season here and with frosh running only 2 miles, it makes it difficult to translate times, plus the Grizzlies had a homecoming conflict. Andrew Tafolla knocked nearly 2 minutes off his time a year ago to finish 15th while Trinity Poe led the girls. No team scores are kept at this meet.

Janice Kelley Bulldog Run
5K race held at Diamond Valley Lake. Eric Perez led the Apple Valley boys to a 3rd place finish as the Sun Devils placed their top 5 all in the top 33 in merged results. Pacific’s Israel Ramos ran well to take 9th. Hailey Callaway was up front for the Apple Valley girls to pace them to a 6th place finish.

Hi-Desert Classic
Held at Machris Park in Yucca Valley. A Friday afternoon classic in the desert. Cajon’s boys, led by freshman Vinnie Quiroz and Adam Oporto, packed up well to withstand the 1-2 assault by Yucca Valley’s Andy Tamayo and Elijah Ocegueda for the win. On the girls side, Yucca Valley held off Oak Hills for the win led by Emma Mills and a 2-3-4 finish. Cajon didn’t have Vivian Frisk in the scoring…had she finished 2nd, it would have made a significant difference.
