News and Announcements
Dear Patriot League Members:
The Patriot League is hosting 12 of the 17 games in the District 33 Junior All-Star Tournament at Shira Field including the Championship game. The success of our league and the success of this hosting venture is only guaranteed by the participation of league members as volunteers for this tournament. We need YOUR help!
For each game, we need 4-6 volunteers to help us with critical tasks. We need people to perform the following tasks:
Field Preparation: volunteers will help, under the direction of the Field Coordinator, with the dragging, watering, and lining of the field in making it game ready. Generally requires about 30-60 minutes of work beginning about an hour and a half before game time and ending approximately 30 minutes prior to the start of the game.
Scorekeeper: volunteer will keep the official scorebook for each game and will be assisted by the announcer, scoreboard operator, and pitch counter (league officials). Must be present at least 30 minutes prior to game time and serve throughout the game.
50/50 Drawing: volunteer will canvas the spectators and sell tickets periodically during the game (generally between innings) for a chance at a cash prize in order to raise money to offset the costs of putting on the tournament games. Selling occurs at the beginning of the game and ends at the beginning of the seventh inning (or earlier if the game is ended by the 10 run rule).
Snack Bar: volunteers (2) will operate the Concession Stand during the game selling food and beverages to the spectators.
Please use the following link to volunteer for one of these important volunteer jobs. Simply click on the link and then click on the spot you wish to take and put your name in that slot or any and all slots you wish to fill and then hit SAVE before exiting. Here is the link:
Thanks for considering your participation to make this tournament a huge success!

San Carlos Patriot League is in desperate need of people to join the Board of Directors. This League exists on the efforts of its volunteers and cannot run without a team at the helm. Several of this year’s Board members have decided to retire from the Board after many years of dedicated service to our League. So it is time for new members to step up and volunteer…Yes that means you!
This board meets once a month and requires considerably less time than the lower level Divisions of Little League. We are all out here for one purpose, the kids. Please consider helping us continue the legacy of the San Carlos Patriot Baseball League.
To nominate yourself or someone who you think would make a positive impact for our League, please email the League President, Nancy Hemmings, at zebratales@cox.net so that your nomination can be added to the ballot.
Should you have questions about general Board duties, responsibilities, and time commitments please feel free to flag down any current board member while at the fields.
