Established in 1971, the GCMFL remains one of the longest-standing men's recreational sporting activities in the former city of Kanata. Kanata, now part of the amalgamated City of Ottawa, is proud to have been chosen by Time magazine as one of the "best places to live in Canada," and carries the acclaim of Silicon Valley North. League plays starts in May and runs through September including playoffs.
The league tournament is in late June.
Leagues fees are $150 for new players and $175 for returning players.

On April 15th, the GCMFL held their annual pitcher and player draft. 96 registered players were placed on 8 teams. There are currently no open spots on any teams and any new registration will be placed on a waiting list.
The two divisions will include the following teams.
Glen - Broadway's, Laurysen, Don Cherry's and Mattamy
Cairn - ASAP, OHS, Taggart's and ESM
Season is set to start on Tuesday May 1st.

2012 Season registration update
On March 18th the first and only in-person registration night was held. As a result there are 70 players registered for the 2012 season. We continue to accept registrations online at registration.gcmfl.com and we encourage all players interested in playing to do so. If you wish to pay via cheque and regular mail instead of paying online please email executive at gcmfl dot com for the address.
The league will be holding an executive meeting on March 26th at 5:30 pm followed by the captains meeting at 7:00 pm in Stittsville at Broadway Bar and Grill.
Agenda topics include:
- Number of teams
- Tournament date (June 8-10, 15-17 or 22-24)
- Player draft date process
