GOLD TEAM
CHAMPIONS OF THE MINORS!
Gold team defeats Black team to become 2015 LYSA Minors Champions!! Behind the clutch pitching and timely hitting of Tyler Luisi and Elijah Munoz, the LYSA Minors Gold Team held off the top seeded Black Team to win the Championship Game by a score of 5 to 3. All players on both teams should be proud to have played so well in this toughly fought contest. Manager, Jesse Martin and assistant coaches, Greg Curry, Dan Sandolo, and Joe Cassar are extremely proud of the sportsmanship, character, and determination that every player on the Gold Team demonstrated throughout this entire season.
Baseball - Minors is a competitive league for boys ages 9 - 10 (as of November 30, 2015).
practices start on or about April 1st and a 12 game season starts in Mid-April.
Baseball - Minors Rules Include the following:
- 60 foot bases & 46 ft. pitching mound.
- Stealing when the ball crosses home plate
- No leading off
- Single elimination playoffs from seedings that are based on standings at the end of the year.
