Welcome Message from the District Administrator - California District 57

2017 Season - Our Commitment at D57 is to provide all parents, players, managers, coaches and volunteers with the finest program. I hope that everyone had an enjoyable 2016 playing season and now we prepare for 2017.   Please see our "calendar" section for upcoming training programs.

Highlights from 2015-16 calendar year:

* October & November of 2015 we held our annual Player Agent, Safety and Upper Division Meetings

* February 2016 - our annual Big Al Clinic at Dougherty Valley HS -- packed as always - this was our 25th year of Big Al

* April 2016 - we headed down to San Bernardino over winter break with 10 teams.  This was the San Bernardino Classic.VII.

* July 2016 -  All Stars with our teams doing outstanding.   In 50-70's the combined team from Danville/SRV/TVLL won the CA57 title which gave them the automatic berth into the 50-70's World Series held in Livermore.

The 2nd place team in 50-70's was Canyon Creek.   Canyon Creek won the Section 3 title, Nor Ca Division / State Champs and headed to Nogales, AZ.

9-10's - Pleasanton Foothill won the Nor Cal Division II / State Tournament

11-12's - Canyon Creek won Section 3 and lost to the eventual winner of the Nor Cal Division II Tourney (Vacaville)

Juniors - Pleasanton won Section 3 and lost in the championship game of the Nor Cal Division II Tourney

Big League - CA57 team won Section 3 and the Nor Cal Division II Tourney.     CA57 lost at the Western Regionals in Bremerton, WA.   Congrats to our Big League team.   Regretfully LLHQ's cancelled the Big League program - so this was our final game(s) for this group.

* july 31 to August 7, 2016- the world returned for the 4th 50-70's Intermediate World Series in Livermore, CA.  CA57 was the host - it was a huge success with over 35,000 people attending during the weeklong festivities.   Congratulations to the West team from Maui, Hawaii as the champion beating a very strong team from Asia Pacific (Seoul, South Korea)

What can you look forward to in 2017? From the Big Al Mgr & Coaches Clinic to scorekeeping clinics to pitching clinics to player agent / league officials clincs to our very popular beginner, intermediate and advanced umpire clinics - we will have a clinic that can meet any or all of your needs. Lastly - our umpires put on one of the best regular and post season rules clinics in the country -- don't miss any of these outstanding clinics.

Other things to keep an eye out for ...and keep an eye on the calendar...there are many fantastic training programs both locally and also provided at the LL Western Region HQ's in San Bernardino.

February 4, 2017 -- All day mgr/coach/adult training clinic at California High School in San Ramon with Big Al.

May - Memorial Day Weekend - the 13th Annual Western Region Challenger Jamboree hosted by CA57. Last year we had almost 30 teams come in from throughout the western region.....we hope to exceed that this year.

June - July -- well from the CA57 TOC's to the LL Int'l Allstars to CA57's special summer camp/games....we'll have plenty of baseball for everyone.

Little League Intermediate - 50/70's World Series - tentative dates are for teams to arrive (tentative) July 28 with the world series championship game on ESPN August 6.   Stay tuned and you can go to our website at www.intermediateworldseries.org for more information.

2017 will be a fun-filled year - Congratulations to all of District 57!!! District 57 is successful because of our outstanding volunteers. If you have the time -- PLEASE -- contact your league and get involved. As we continue to grow - District 57's programs can only continue with the commitment of our membership.

Remember the fun starts at 4 years old with Tee Ball -- and then players progress up to age 12 in the majors program..... BUT the real fun starts with our D57 programs of 50-70's or the many levels of Juniors and Senior League offerings --- these divisions are for ages 13 to 16 - AND - they are a blast!!! Remember - LLB does provide a full softball program - we'd love to have you help us start that back up in 57 ....LL Softball also has world series at all levels.

CA District 57 - The proud home of the following Little League Baseball and Softball Programs. D57 is comprised of leagues and players, ages 4 through 16, from Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, Danville, Tassajara Valley and Alamo. All leagues are located in beautiful, sunny, Northern California

For more information, please contact your district administrator or local league for more information concerning our programs.

I hope that you have a fantastic and enjoyable experience - I look forward to seeing you during the 2016-17 calendar year. Please let us know if we can assist with any matters and/or improve our site.
