News and Announcements

Draft 2006 By Laws are posted in the Hand Outs section of the website. Print a copy and keep them handy during games as they contain the "local rules".  When the final draft is approved by District 35, we'll let you know.

Well Team Moms... how's it going?  Thanks so much for taking on this really important role for your team. It's a lot of fun and a huge help to the Manager, Coaches, and other parents.  You're awesome!

By now you should have received an email from me (Tanya Sullivan, Information Officer) with with a list of Key Contacts for each team in PALL as well as a few Board Members that you'll contact most frequently.  If you didn't get it, please send me an email so I'll have your address.  Mine is PTownBaseballMom@comcast.net.  Maybe teams can use the list to coordinate post game snacks and give players a chance to hang out together after the game.

Feel free to pass along suggestions that will help keep the Info flowing within PALL. We want to make it as easy as possible for Team Moms to "do their thing" and have fun doing it!

Petaluma Little League honored our own Major Leaguer, Jonny Gomes of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays on Saturday, February 11th.  Hundreds of fans... and lots of warm sunshine... turned out to celebrate Jonny's amazing Rookie Season.  It's not every day that a Major League career begins on a Petaluma Little League field!  Jonny shared the keys to his success with fans that day:  Set your sights high, believe in yourself, work hard, and surround yourself with good people.  "You Gotta Believe" that anything is possible.

Mayor Glass represented the City of Petaluma in proclaiming February 11th to be "Jonny Gomes Day" and thanked Jonny for sponsoring teams in each of Petaluma's Little Leagues this season.  Our Master of Ceremonies, KRON 4 Sports Anchor Vernon Glenn, even aired highlights of the event on TV that night.  In his remarks to the crowd, Jonny promised to remember his hometown fans...  look for our "707" area code on Jonny's cleats and batting gloves this season.  Jonny wouldn't leave the park until every last kid in the long line had an autograph.

Petaluma Little League thanks all the volunteers that put the event on and the parents and fans who supported the fundraisers that day.  The T-shirt sales, Silent Auction, and food raised nearly $3,600 for Petaluma Little League!  The celebration continued that evening as Jonny's Casa Grande High School Baseball program honored his accomplishments at their annual banquet.
