The 3rd Shuck 'n Run 5K went down the morning of October 1st, 2011 and a new course record was set by 16 year old Cody Williamson of Shelton.  Cody, a Shelton Harrier, Covered the 5000 meters of impervious surface in 16:21, outdistancing Ben Crabtree, and Robert Larribas.  50 year old Jay Strickland ran the course in a fine time of 18:16 to claim top male masters honors.  On the ladies side, 28 year old Sarah Yardley, rocking the Guerilla Running Racing Club singlet, took the title in 22:36.  Overall masters female winner Jenna Kelly (Shelton Harriers) defended her masters title, and was  followed by Kara Medcalf in third. All in all, we met our goal of bringing people together to run.  100 folks and one oyster crossed the line.  Once again, our apologies for the age-group award foul-ups.  We will be getting the rest of those out this week.   It's amazing what one click of the mouse in John's hand can do.  Argh. On a positive note, your support today means we can host 3 youth xc meets this fall!  The next generation of Shelton runners thank you. Hope to see you soon!
