| In predicted order of finish:
Avocado League 1. Torrey Pines (Coach: Jon Moore. Last year: 24-7 overall, 8-2 first in league) At a glance: The Falcons have lots of pitching, led by LHP-1B Lauren Hynes, who was 16-5 with a 1.53 ERA last season. The first-team all-leaguer fanned 127 in 137 innings. Newcomers RHP Rachel Nasland, RHP Kayla Silverstein and RHP-CF Lauren Bower give the team unbelievable depth. First-team all-leaguer 2B Lauren Filicia, who hit .388, and second-team all-leaguer SS Kristen Filicia, who played outfield last year, are also key players. Kristen Filicia is going to Fairfield next year. 3B Mary Lee will hit second with RF Sydney Gerbracht hitting fifth and Bower hitting sixth in a lineup Moore thinks will score more runs. |
