Umpire Training Classes Announced
District 62 will be holding its annual Umpire Rules and Field Mechanics training. These clinics are free and are designed to train our volunteers as league umpires.
Umpire Fast Start: Basic Field Mechanics
Sunday, Feb 23, 8 am - Noon at OVLL
Umpire Field Mechanics: Full Day Session
Sunday, Mar 2, 9 am - 4:30 pm (Location TBD)
Rules Training (All Sessions at Old World Village, Main Hall)
Wednesday, Feb 12, 7 - 9 pm “Intro to Rule 9”
Wednesday, Feb 19, 7 - 9 pm “Session Two”
Wednesday, Feb 26, 7 - 9 pm “Session Three”
Wednesday, Mar 05, 7 - 9 pm “Session Four”
Wednesday, Mar 12, 7 - 9 pm “Session Five”
Wednesday, Mar 19, 7 - 9 pm “Session Six”
Junior Umpire Training (Ages 12 - 18)
Friday, Feb. 7, 5:30 - 8:30 pm “Rules Training” at Murdy Community Center
Field Mechanics Full Day Training (Ages 12 - 18)
Saturday, Feb 8, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm at OVLL
Sunday, Feb 9, 9 am - 1 pm at OVLL
Note: Juniors (12-17) wishing to take any adult umpire class must have the approval of their local league Umpire in Chief or a D62 staff member. Junior candidates that wish to attend any training that are under 12 years of age must have the signed approval of their local league Umpire in Chief.
