The Bulldogs (12-5-1) won their sixth straight game 9-2 on Friday night as they received strong hitting from the top the lineup and Nick Kelley dominated the Trojan batters for six innings.
Darren Hartwell singled, stole second and scored on Hank Oringer's single in the first inning. Then in the second inning Hartwell singled in Brandon Bingel whom had singled and stole second base. The Bulldogs have 27 stolen bases on the season which is far and away the tops in the league.
The game was put out of reach in the middle innings when Oringer (.395) hit a home run to right center and both Paul Crehan and Mike Taylor had two run singles.
Nick Kelley only had trouble in one inning when the Trojans had their only three hits against him on the night to load the bases. However, Kelley bore down and struck the last two batters of the inning to preserve the shutout.
Arlington pushed across two unearned runs in the seventh off the Bulldogs reliever but Reading closed out the 9-2 win.
