What does 70 degree weather + 5 mph breeze + 12 great kids + 1 Richards Field equal ??? 

Try a great day for a little league baseball game ... 

On defense 2B Jimmy Jet got the team going on the very first play … he reached to his right and threw a 4-3 strike for the first out.  In the 2^nd inning all three A’s hitters put the bat on the ball but went down 1,2,3 as SS Cameron A, P DPDave and 3B Colin fielded the grounders cleanly and made monster throws to the 1^st bag for the outs, not allowing a runner ... add a terrific play by P Mouth later in the game by fielding the ball and tossing it to 1^st and the Giants had an overall efficient day at Richards Field (5 puts outs, 1 error and 4 hits).   

On the flip side we usually have three hitters bat a 1.000, but today there was only one person that reached base by hits every at-bat … that would be Cameron A (3-3, 2B, 3 RBI).  Blake, NickG, Anthony, Josh and Colin all had 2 hits each … while DP Dave, Cameron F, Jimmy, Tyler and NickO all did their part by getting a hit and either scoring or driving in a run.  The rare and odd statistic of the day … Austin (0-3, 3 Ks, 7 LOB) … it’s unique because he only had ONE strikeout for the first nine games total … no worries here though because this kid is having an incredible season and is due for a HUGE follow up game … 

Today’s Game Ball found the hands of Mr. Colin Goodell (2-3, FC, 1 RUN, 2 RBI).  His throw across the diamond from 3^rd showed off his defensive ability and no doubt about it he is Mr. Consistency when it comes to approaching the plate … for the season he only has one strikeout in 31 plate appearances.   That my friends is how you get it done AND score a Game Ball … Great Game "Twink"!!
