Carolina All-Stars 2009 13-Under/ 8th Grade National Team

The 2009 Carolina All-Stars 13-Under Team claimed the North Carolina AAU State Championship on Sunday, April 26, 2009 in Fayetteville, North Carolina defeating the WNC Lady Royals 65 - 39 in the championship game.  Along the way to the state championship, the team defeated the following teams by an average of 35 points (Team Reign, Lake Norman Magic, Alamance Elite and WNC Lady Royals).  In July, the team is head to the National Championships to be held in Kings Island, Ohio.  The championship team photo is listed above:  Front Row (#11 Bayley Cox (Durham), #10 Alexis Brower (Pittsboro), #3 Ashley Mull (Belmont), #5 Lauren Smith (Gastonia)  Top Row (Coach Ty Cox, #35 Briana Day (Durham), #42 Armarni Asberry (Durham), #24 Mercedes Harris (Raleigh), #15 Sydni Dobson (Durham), #34 Bria Day (Durham), #23 (Alexis Armstrong).
