Sota State 2nd at NIVC Conference Tourney

Posted by Michael Meyer at Mar 31, 2009 12:10PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

It was a bittersweet weekend as the Men’s Team ran out of gas in the championship match and lost to Providence College in 3 games and then again in a 1 game playoff.

It was the 2nd year MSU has hosted the conference tourney, and the 2nd year they walked away with a 2nd place. They hope to regain some confidence this weekend at the MVA State Championships, where they will be competing in the BB division.

Congrats to the KC Headkickers (aka Sota State) for finishing 2nd at the Arrowhead Tournament in Duluth this weekend. The Headkickers went 5-3 in pool play and defeated teams in quarter and semi-final matches to earn a spot in the final match. They were defeated in two games in the final. Next on the agenda for Sota State is the NIVC Conference Tourney, where they’ll have a chance to avenge their only loss this season to UW-Eau Claire’s Blue team.
