Welcome to another exciting year of girls fast pitch softball! 

Avon Township has a long and proud history of assisting young ladies learn and perfect the game of softball. Many of
our girls have gone on to play high school and college softball. Avon teams are respected throughout northern Illinois
as being strong teams who respect the game and play it fairly.

Avon's girls softball is divided into recreational and travel teams. Our Recreational Program sets the basics of
softball beginning at age 6 and runs through the age of 18. Recreational Leagues are 6 - 8 (Minors), 9 - 11 (Majors),
12 - 15 (Pony), and 15 -18 (Tri-County). Our Travel Program is for more advanced girls who are more competitive and
dedicate more time to their craft. Travel Teams fall under two categories and include 12U, 14U.

Important 2011 dates: -         

• April 9:      Field Clean-up Day 10:00am @ Avon Complex
• April 30:    OPENING DAY
• May 22:     Avon Picture Day
• July 4:       Parade and 4^th of July festivities  

Team Coaches will be contacting players the week of April 18th...please be patient and let the coaches contact you instead of contacting our hotline.
