Team 1 - Yankees

The Lansdowne Boys & Girls Club would like to welcome all boys and girls to our baseball and softball programs. Our club has affiliations with Cal Ripken Baseball and Babe Ruth Softball. The LBGC strives to provide an exciting and fun program and we would like to give more children the opportunity to experience the enjoyment of baseball and softball. The LBGC's affiliation with Cal Ripken Baseball will be geared towards children between the ages of 7 & 12 and our affiliation with Babe Ruth Softball will be for girls between the ages of 7 & 16. We also offer tee ball for 5 & 6 year old boys and girls and baseball (intramurals & Delco travel league) for boys between 13 & 16 years old. The LBGC will participate in district tournaments and for the privilege of vying for an ultimate spot in the World Series tournaments. Our programs are available to all boys and girls who live within our boundaries, which include Lansdowne, East Lansdowne, Yeadon, Aldan, Primos, Clifton Heights and parts of Drexel Hill and Upper Darby for Cal Ripken Baseball and most of Delaware County for Babe Ruth Softball. Any boy or girl who has played for the LBGC in the past, regardless of where they live, will be able to continue to play as they are grandfathered into the program. There are no boundaries for tee ball and 13-16 year old baseball; it is open to anyone, regardless of where you live. We allow dual participation. Anyone who plays for CYO, Traveling Teams or Little League for other programs are also able to participate in our program as long as they live within our boundaries.
