St. Croix Track Club, Inc.

The MUSTANGS had a great showing in the Children Race in Christiansted. We had 20 Mustangs running.The distance was a downhill 630m. Partial results for the Mustangs:

St. Croix Track Club coach Mireille Smith took first place in for the females in the 21st Paradise 5K run which was held on Thursday April 30 at the Buchaneer Resort. This race was held as part of the Triathlon Week. Coach Smith's time was 22:23; 2nd place Erica Sweitzer, a teacher at Ricardo Richards Elementary School in St.Croix,  in 23:00; 3. Eva Wirthlin of Zurich, Switzerland 25:14; 4. Sanny Eugene of the JBTC and CARIFTA Gold Medalist 25:27; 5. Stephanie Rhoden of ECHS and JBTC 25:28

The St. Croix Track Club is having a Cake Sale at Gallowsbay Hardware on Saturday April 25, 2009. From 9 am - 2 pm. Please spread the word and come and support the MUSTANGS!!!

Please come and support the Mustangs on Saturday March 28 between 10 am and 2 pm with their car wash fundraiser at Sunshine Mall (K-Mart West).

Coach Mireille Smith successfully completed the IAAF Level I coaching course which was held from March 9 - 18 in Turks and Caicos Islands. This course focusses on Kids Athletics with the purpose to motivate our elementary school students to take up track and field.
