CT Bombers 14-U

In its first tournament together, the 14U Bombers captured 2nd Place in the RI Lightning III Tournament in Providence, RI. After being rained out on Saturday the tournament switched to a double elimination format on Sunday. The team won it's first game, then lost its second, moving to the losers bracket. The girls then rallied to win three games in a row to make it to the finals. The day began with warm-ups at 6:45am for a 7:30 start time. The final game ended about 7:30pm. It was a long but very successful day of softball. Great pitching, strong defense and timely hitting. A tremendous start to what will be a enjoyable summer season!
