Little League Tournament Play

Posted by William Camp at Feb 8, 2008 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

Tournament play is one of the most exciting aspects of our league's association with Little League Baseball, Inc.  At the conclusion of the regular season, tournament teams are selected on the basis of player ability from among all teams in eligible divisions.  Playing on a tournament team gives players the benefit of higher levels of competitive play, advanced coaching and the opportunity to associate with other tournament teams in our area.

Tournament teams are selected on or about June 15th with play beginning around July 1.  A competitive team may continue playing baseball into late July.

In Majors Divsion and higher, the very best teams advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport Pennsylvania.  Younger divisions may advance to state finals only.

Keep your summer calendar open for tournament baseball ! ! !
