VFW

It was a very tough loss for our team yesterday. The boys played very hard and we were in position to win the game. It was 94 seconds left, we had the ball and we were up by 3 points. As the saying goes, close games are either won or lost by coaching. I apologize for this tough loss, we weren't as ready as we should have been for the last 2 minutes. We will take a break from practicing this Wed. 8/2/06 but will start to regroup for Las Vegas on Friday 8/4/06. We will also practice on Wed. 8/9/06. Both practices will be at Mariners from 6:30-8:30 p.m. If possible, I would like to have a third practice possibly on Sunday evening 8/6/06. Since we only have 8 for this tournament I need to be sure that we have enough players for a practice on Sunday. We as coaches learned a great deal with yesterday's game and we promise that we won't be making the same mistakes twice. Let's all forget about the past and focus on the future. 10-2. Not bad! I will be sending out information for our Las Vegas trip in the next few days. We will be playing all our games at UNLV (University of Nevada Las Vegas) Please email either Jon or I to let us know if you can make practice on Friday or not. Thanks. Talk to you soon, Mark
