The Marist Track & Field awards banquet is one of the most meaningful events of the school year. It represents the official acknowledgement of the athletes accomplishments before the entire Team, administration, parents, and guests.

The 2018 Marist Track season was one of the most successful seasons in the history of Marist High School.

13 athletes earned Pinneapples and a plaque for breaking a school record in an individual event and/or relay. Several of the school records had lasted 36 years or longer, including the 3200m, 1600m, 400m, 200m, 4x200m, and 4x100m!!

In one year, Marist went from 15th place at IHSA Class 3A Sectionals with one point (2017) to THIRD place at IHSA Class 3A Sectionals with 68 points! (2018).

In one year, Marist went from having no state qualifiers, to EIGHT athletes qualifying for the Class 3A IHSA State Track and Field Championships! The experience at the STATE meet was priceless.

Chicago Marist High School also finished in the Top 3 in the IHSA Sectional Championships for the first time since 1982!

Marist also had individual IHSA Sectional Champions in the 100m (Jovan Marsh), 400m (Brian Ferguson), and the High Jump (Steven Rowe).

Marist also had an outstanding Indoor Track season. Marist had Illinois Prep Top Times (Indoor State) Qualifiers in the 55m High Hurdles, and 400m Dash. Marist also upset Lane Tech, the Chicago Public League Champions, at the Gene Armer Invitational.

Marist also finished in SECOND place at the East Suburban Catholic Conference Championships.
