Antwoine Hardy displayed his tremendous athletic prowess, leaving the field in the dust, on his way to winning the sub-midget boys 400m dash at AAU National Championships in Knoxville, TN.

8 athletes made the trip to Knoxville, TN to represent us at the AAU National Championships.  They all competed like champions!

 Tiara McDuffie (400m), Antwoine Hardy (100m, 400m), Darius Green (1500m), Arthur Ashton (Heptathalon, Triple Jump, 4 x 100), Antwan Dickerson (Long Jump, 4 x 100), Michael Lobban (High Jump, 4 x 100), Jonathan Rodriguez (Long Jump, 4 x 100)

Former Willis/Camden PAL track star Christopher Gillis, Jr. wins long jump at Big 12 Championships. Chris capped a succesful college career at Baylor University by winning the 2006 Big 12 Championships in the mens long jump with a leap of 26 feet, 1 and 3/4 inches and placing 3rd in the NCAA Championships with a leap of 26 feet, 3/4 inches. His personal best also set in 2006 was 26 feet, 4 and a 1/2 inches. When asked about his performance at the NCAA Champoinships Chris responded "I can honestly say that I tried my hardest and gave it my all. I made a few little mistakes, but I gave everything I had." His performances earned him NCAA All American status. Chris graduated from Baylor University in December 2006. He is now competing as an Olympic Development athlete for Shore Athletic Club. He recently placed 6th at the 2007 USA Track and Field Indoor Track Championships. We look forward to watching him compete against the world best jumpers in 2007 and beyond. Good luck Chris.
