Dickerson Medal at JO Nationals

Antwan Dickerson finished 5th in the Long Jump at USATF Junior Olympics in Omaha, Nebraska.  Antwan saved his best for last as he finished the season of with some of his biggest jumps of the year.  His medal winning jump of 19 feet 6 inches was his longest jump of the season.  This was Antwan's first nationals and he handled the pressure well.  He rose up to the task when faced with adversity and got himself up on the medal stand.

2008 Regionals Championship Results

Willis/Camden PAL in top form at the 2008 USATF JO Region 2 Championships at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.  There were many great performance as the kids made their presence felt.  Throughout the stadium you could hear people talking about their great sportsmanship as they supported each other throughout the competition from morning to dusk and their immense, undeniable talent.  Leading the way were double winners:

 Kassan Gary - Sub Bantam Boys 800m, 1500m

Kyle Jones - Bantam Boys 100m,  4x100m

Tiara McDuffie - Midget Girls 400m, 800m

Antwoine Hardy - Midget Boys 200m, 400m

Antwoine Hardy served notice to the nation that he is a force to be reckoned with in the sprints with a strong performance at the 2008 USATF Youth National Championships in Charlotte, NC.  He convincingly won both the 200m and 400m midget boys races.

McDuffie Finishes 4th at Youth Nationals

Tiara McDuffie finished 4th in the 400m at the 2008 USATF Youth National Championships in Charlotte, NC.  The competition was very intense as her age group was definetely one of the most competive in the meet.  She showed her resolve and earned a spot on the medal stand.  Tiara 2008 season was quite remarkable as she solidified her standing as the top sprint/middle distance runner in her age group in the state of NJ.  Her future is very bright indeed.

USATF-NJ Association Championship Results

The boys and girls had a great 2 days of competition in Woodbridge, NJ.  They truly stood out throughout the competition.  Leading the way with meet records were

Yusef Hollingsworth - Bantam Boys Long Jump 14-1.25

Antwoine Hardy - Midget Boys 200m, 24.10

Antwan Dickerson - Youth Boys Long Jump 19-4.25 

Shaquanda Gainey - Young Womens Triple Jump 36-3.50
