September 24th, Back Bay Hei Hei in Sandbridge VA

MAPA OC-1 paddlers rocked at the second annual Backbay HeiHei at Sandbridge. Kyle McLain finished first Mens Open class with his father Rusty seconds behind to win first Mens Masters. MAPA members swept the Mens Senior Masters class with Tim Jones 1st, Charlie Barton 2nd and Ric Rountree 3rd. Kathleen McNamee finished second Womens Open and Freda Rosso and Leza McLain finished first and second Womens Masters respectively. Thanks to all the folks at Sandbridge Outrigger Canoe Club for a great race and wonderful eats to follow.
