General Soccer Program Information
Lansdowne Boys and Girls Fall Soccer League offers Intramural Leagues as well as Travel (competetive) teams.
The Intramural Leagues: Intramural teams start with our PeeWee division for ages 5 and 6. This is a co-ed division where fundamental skills are taught and the kids have a blast running the field for an hour. They will play against each other, as well as games with other surrounding towns while building their skills. All players will receive a medal at the end of the season, there are no playoffs at this age level.
Our Junior division consists of seperate girls and boys teams for ages 7, 8 and 9 year olds with talent spread equally throughout the league to assure competitive games throughout the season. This division will also play against other surrounding towns. Many skills are developed at this level that lead members into pursuing tryouts for the various available travel teams. The Junior division will begin to learn the strategy of field position and developing chemistry with team members.
Your involvement and presence at the games will enhance your child's experience!
Our Senior division consists of seperate male and female teams for ages 10, 11 and 12. Players continue to develop individual soccer skills and enhance thier knowledge of strategy and positioning. As is the case with the other divisions, talent is spread equally on teams and teams play against each other as well as against teams from other surrounding towns.
Travel Teams can begin as early as 9 years old. All travel teams teach more detailed skills to help compete at a higher level. These are competitive teams with a concentration on advancing existing skills and a goal of winning each game at their respective age levels, while maintaining focus on good sportsmanship. We offer the opportunity to compete at age levels under 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 19 years old with separate leagues for boys and girls. If there are not enough members for a single age group, the age brackets are combined in two-year increments.

The Intramural Leagues
The Intramural Leagues are co-ed with talent spread equally throughout the league to maintain competitive games throughout the season. Many skills are developed at this level that lead members into pursuing tryouts for the various available travel teams. Your involvement and presence at the games will enhance your child?s experience!
· The Intramural teams start at age 5 years old and include six year olds. The fundamental skills are taught and the kids have a blast running the field for an hour.
· The Intramural 7 and 8 year olds begin to learn the strategy of maintaining their fielding positions and thoroughly enjoy the game.
· The 9 and 10 year olds learn the strategy of the game as their skill level begins to grow.
· The 11 and 12 year olds play against each other, as well as an occasional game with other surrounding towns as well as building their skill sets.
· 13 and 14 year old members play games each weekend for the fun of the sport. They usually play against other Intramural teams of the same age from surrounding towns.
Travel Teams
Travel teams can begin as early as 9 and 10 years old. All travel teams teach more detailed skills to help compete at a higher level. These are competitive teams with a concentration on advancing existing skills and a goal of winning each game at their respective age levels, while maintaining focus on good sportsmanship.
We offer the opportunity to compete at age levels under 9, 10, 12 and 14 years old for boys, under 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17 for girls.
