The Newfield Soccer Club Larry Cronk Memorial Scholarship is being given in Larry's honor. Larry was a past president and founder of our club. He also coached a summer soccer league at Centereach High School. He was always there for our youth. The $400 awards are established to aid graduating seniors who are planning to attend and institution of higher education. We award four (4) scholarships to be divided between Newfield and Centereach High School's eligible seniors, and one (1) for an out of district eligible senior. The recipient  should be a MCCSD resident (and 1 out of district) that has played, coached, refereed or managed for the Newfield Soccer Club.  The applicant should be a graduating senior, have average or above average grades, and have plans to go to a 2 to 4 year college or university.  Consideration will be given to those applicants who have shown a history of civic volunteering, especially with youth sports.

NOTE: All applications MUST include a transcript and completed questionnaire. MCCSD seniors must make sure they follow all the directions and due dates from each MCCSD high school to apply for scholarships. Out of district seniors must adhere to all the deadlines and Newfield Soccer Club requirements.

Eligible Students: Four (4) Centereach and Newfield High School Seniors and one (1) out of district senior. All seniors must have participated in Newfield Soccer Club.

Students will be able to begin accessing digital applications on the Middle Country scholarship website beginning February, 2012. We encourage students to apply for all awards for which they are eligible. Students should continue to check for scholarship weekly updates in the guidance office for additional offerings.

Applications will be processed digitally, with copies sent automatically to student applicants, guidance, and scholarship providers.

All in district applications must be submitted on or before Monday, March 12, at 11:00 PM. No extensions will be granted under any circumstances. Access to the digital applications will no longer be available.

All out of district applications must be submitted on or before Monday, March 26, at 11:00 PM. No extensions will be granted under any circumstances. Access to the digital applications will no longer be available. Out of district applicants please complete the handout NSC Scholarship Aplication Questionnaire Form below.

It is the student's obligation to make sure that his or her application is complete and in accordance with the guidelines of each submitted individual scholarship application. First and foremost, however, the student must fill out an Activity Form corresponding to his or her school(see below). This Activity Form should be saved by the student, as many scholarships offered through the school district will require a copy of the completed form to be attached digitally to the application.  It is imperative that all applicants complete both of the following forms corresponding with your school.
