Skyhawk Pee Wees - UNDEFEATED CHAMPIONS

Congratulations to the SKYHAWK Pee Wees - 2002 Warner Football Conference UNDEFEATED Pee Wee Divison CHAMPIONS. The Pee Wees faced their toughest challenge of the season when they took on the Kings Bay Cougars at Port Richmond H.S. (Staten Island) on Sun. 12/15 for the Championship. After being down 8-0 at halfatime, the Pee Wees rallied to take a 14-8 lead in the second half. Kings Bay scored on a tremondous run to tie the game at 14-14. The SKYHAWK defense then shut down Kings Bay on the two point conversion try. With 27 seconds left to play, QB Terrence Davis found FL Jason Hendricks on a spectacular 55 yard pass play to take the lead. This play was only possible due to the determination of the offensive line and backs to provide maximum pass protection. After a celebration penalty, the two point try was pushed back to the 18 yard line. This pair hooked up again on the conversion play to make the score 22-14. After the ensuing kickoff, Kings Bay's offense gave it one last try. However, the pressure of the Skyhawk front line and the tight coverage provided by the linebackers and secondary allowed for safety Terrance Davis to pick off a pass and run out the clock to seal the win. Congratulations to both Kings Bay and the SKYHAWK Pee Wees for a superb effort. Special Congratulations to Coach Garvin, his staff and players for their hard work throughout the season. Welcome our newest edition to the Circle of Champions 2002 UNDEFEATED Pee Wee Division Champions!!!!!!!!!image
