Tough outing on Sunday. The boys had played very well against one of the best teams we will face the week before we had higher hopes for Sunday's game. The boys just didn't come with the same energy and focus. We didn't challenge the other team when they had possession and when we had possession we didn't have our heads up to try and connect a pass. When we had the ball we had a lot of bunching which smothers our offensive opportunities and then when we lose the ball they have players in open spaces. A bunch of the goals we let up where from those two factors....not challenging them when they had the ball and bunching up and leaving their players open to go to goal. The second half we played better. Had some shape on the field, connected a few passes and were more assertive on defense. Dan will continue to work on 1v1 defense and shape.
