Hermes & Bridge of Don

Hi All, sorry for the delay on the blether last week folks but I was off on holiday. Anyway the latest is as follows.

The last week or so has seen a definite improvement in the squad’s fitness. This being mainly due to the  training sessions that we have had which have been disciplined by Dago. His stamina regime is starting to come to the fore. I know the players have been asking for this every week and looks like it will be a main feature for the foreseeable future.

On the 2 games we have played  the Hermes match was a disappointment. This is where we had  a point in the bag only for a lapse in concentration in the dying minutes saw the previous winners of the Super league snatch a win. Very hard to take at the time but must say the attitude the following week was immense.

This was then shown in the league encounter (again at home) to Bridge of Don Thistle. A hard working and organised team that gained promotion last season. Here the boys took the game by the scruff of the neck and in the 2nd period raced ahead 3-0 with a hat trick from Jack Henderson. We did let our guard down again near the end but Devin restored our lead where we ran out winners 4-2.

Overall a pleasing performance before the cup game this weekend where we entertain our local neighbours Culter FC.  Always a difficult encounter but one the players and management are looking forward to compete in.

So on this we hope to see you all there this coming Saturday to support the boys in blue!
