To all high school skiers:
The Duluth XC Ski Club will be hosting a big citizens race at Spirit Mt on Sunday, Jan 27th. The Lake Superior College Nordic Spirit Ski Race and Tour. We have a special rate of only $15 for high school skiers who would like to do the race or tour (speak to your coaches first to make sure it's okay). Skiers will get a cool white hat (like the one Annie's been wearing at races) and a gear bag. More info about the races can be found at http://duluthxc.com/nordicspirit.
We're also looking for lots of volunteers. We have jobs like helping at the registration table, or helping out at the gearbag checkin/checkout, or startline/finishline crew. You could also help us pre-stuff the give-away bags. Another really fun volunteer job would be to help out with the kids Trax for Snax race. Help the wee-ones find their way around the course and feed them cookies while cheering them on. Your help would be greatly appreciated. We should have enough of those white hats for volunteers too. If you can help out, talk to Patti Harvieux (Annie's mom) or give her a call at 724-6846.

A Few New Things

Posted by David Kask at Jan 8, 2008 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

One - The Dan Hedien Classic has been rescheduled to Friday, Januay 18 at 1:00 p.m.  This is due to finals on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Two - The Snowflake bus schedule is now on the calendar along with race schedules, team dinners and other important dates.  I will keep it up to date with changes.

Three - Parents (and skiers too) if you want a copy of the start list for a race you are going to, Steve our timer for most meets,  posts them on his web site before the meet.  It is fun to have so you can cheer for the skiers (East's and others) by name.  Click here to get to Steve's web site: Steve's Timing

Four - A Yahoo map can be accessed for directions to meet locations by clicking on the Location for the meet near the top of our home page or by finding the location under the "Locations" menu tab to the left.

See you,

Dave
