The bus from Ordean, East and Woodland will go to Spirit Mt. (Bonnie will be on the bus). There is a classic race scrimmage at Spirit Mt. starting at 5:00. Sign up for this race with Bonnie when you get to Spirit Mt. (or on the bus). Parents, it is a good chance to watch your kids ski. Tomorrow (Friday) practice is on your own. Snowflake will be open and you can ski there. We will be heading to Houghton, MI for some USSA/Junior Olympic Qualifying races. The workouts for the weekend will be on the board at Snowflake. Sign up for the Grand Rapids Invite by tonight. We will have a sign up sheet at Spirit Mt. or call and leave a message at 724-2775 by 9:00 tonight. The Grand Rapids Invite is a classic race at Mt. Itasca on Tuesday, December 20. The bus will leave at 7:00 from East. See you at Spirit Mt. tonight.

Proctor is holding an informal classic race at Spirit Mountain on Thursday, December 15. It will start at 5:00. The lights will be on and there is going to be nice deep classic tracks on a course that starts in front of the chalet and meanders around the Spirit Mt. hill. NOTE: The ski bus that picks skiers up at the three schools will be going to Spirit Mt. Thursday for the race and not to Snowflake. Parents you will have to pick your skiers up there or arrange a ride for them. This race is open to everyone. Just show up tell Bonnie you are there and we will put your name on the start list. It should be lots of fun.

Hello Skiers, Here is what is happening for the next week. 1) Sign up for the Mt. Itasca race by the end of practice on Thursday. This will be a classic race on Tuesday, December 20. I don't have any details on the race yet but the bus should be leaving in the morning around 7:00. Check here, the phone line or the board at Snowflake for more details. 2) We will be having a team dinner on Monday, December 19 after practice at Snowflake. The cost is $4. Everyone, racing or not, is invited to attend. The food is always good. Come to think of it...maybe we should have team dinners every night. Any parents out there willing? (just kidding) 3) We will not be holding practice this Friday, December 16. Run or ski on your own. Hopefully we will have lots of snow by then. 4) Keep doing your snow dances. It looks like we have a good chance of getting some significant snowfall over the next few days. If you don't dance and we don't get snow it is your fault! Don't know how to dance...ask Bonnie.
