Pocket Rhino Leads Charge, as Bomber Blast Away!

The AAA Yankees of Roseville West Little League were back in action tonight in a game against the high flying Orioles. After struggling with the bat in there first two games, the Mighty Bombers had their sights set on the Oriole pitching staff, and it was bombs away! Ryan (Pocket Rhino) Sancedo (and player of the game) sealed the deal with a rocket single in fourth inning, but Rhino wasn`t alone: Terrence(T-Bone) Berg went 1-2; Ramon (Mad Dog) Esparza III, 2-3; Parker (The Real Deal) True, 2-3; 2b; Kyle (The Great Santini) Santin 2-2; Jake (The Snake) Peralta,2-2;2b; Hayden (H) Mitchell, 2-3;2b; Jackson (Ajax) Shedd,1-2;. The Yankees banged out a season high 12 hits and put forth a great defensive effort that was led by Nick (One eyed Willy) Lake`s snare of a smokin` line drive at first base. The Mighty Yanks also left their mark on the bases as Spencer (The Road Runner) Floyd stole home. We woundn`t want to leave out the Yankee Pitching staff that pitched its third straight stellar game. Andrei (The Big Cat) Buado, The Snake and H all made their pitching debuts. Those three along with the cagey veteran The Real Deal were able to hold the Oriole hitters to 5 runs.

With the 14-5 victory The Bombers move to 2-1

The Yankee organization would like to throw out a special thanks To Ryan (The Pocket Rhino), player of the game. Ryan proved that with hard work good things can happen.

Bombers Even Record on Snake`s Blast

After missing two games due to rainouts, the Yankees were back in action against the Giants and their dominating pitching staff, anchored by ex-Yankee Conner Philpot. Once again the Yankee pitchers were up to the challenge. Parker (The Real Deal) True and Kyle (The Great Santini) threw a magnificent game as they outdueled their counterparts. Unlike last game when the Mighty Bombers stumbled on defense, this time they dropped down a leather curtain over the G-men. The Yankee defense was led in the outfield by Jackson (Ajax) Shedd and Zach (Scooter) Berry who made tremendous running catches to rob Giant hitters of extra bases. Other great Yankee defensives plays were: Ryan (Pocket Rhino)Sancedo and Spencer (The Road Runer) Floyds` textbook back-up play behind first base; Hayen (H) Mitchell reeling in a flyball behind firstbase; and Ramon (Mad dog) III Esparza`s game ending double play! The Yankee offense made it`s season debut (two Games into the season). Terrence (T-Bone) Berg laid down a textbook bunt and scored the first run of the season when Jake (The Snake) Peralta hit a Grand Slamunami. Andrei (The Big Cat) Buado added a massive triple for the Bombers.

With the 5-2 victory, the Yankees move to 1-1

The Yankee Organization would like to throw out a special thanks to; Jake (The Snake) Peralta; player of the game for an outstanding effort, and blasting a Grand Slam!

The Yankee Organization would like to throw out another special thanks to Nick (One eye Willy) Lake, who is on the injured reserve (with a black eye, suffered during practice) for coming out and supporting his team-mates. Hurry back Nick!

Yanks Shut Out in Opener

The AAA Yankees of Roseville West Little League had a rough start to the season tonight, against the Tigers. The Tigers pitchers pitched an outstanding game holding the Mighty Bombers to one hit. The Yankees pitchers; Kyle (The Great Santini)  Santin, and Parker (The Real Deal) True, threw magnificently but fell victim to a shaky defense, that  at times looked like it was playing with stone tools insted of leather. The  Yankees will have to play much better if they expect to have a winning season. The boys in pinstripes will have to bounce back agaist an outstanding Padre team on Saturday if they are going to get in the win column.

Yanks fall to  0-1 with a 0-7 loss.

The Yankee organization would like to thank team Captain: Parker (The Real Deal) True; Player of the game, for an outstanding performance in game one.
