Cardinals

The Cardinals opened the season with a win over Martinez 10 to 8! The Cardinals started strong with 3 runs in the first highlighted on a double by Rachel Revey that drove in the 3rd run. In the top of the 3rd, Ashly Sanchez hit a double and was brought in by Hilary Hanhan with her first hit of the season. In the 4th inning the Cardinals held a 7-1 lead when Martinez began their comeback in the bottom of the inning with a 4 run rally, but the Cardinals held on to their lead and locked it with an RBI by Wanda Tung in the top of the 7th, making it a 10-7 game. Rachel Revey pitched an outstanding game with 16 strike outs, while allowing just 2 hits. Well Done Cardinals! A nice start to the season.

The Cardinals had a nice start to the pre-season on Sunday March 9th. The Cardinals put an emphasis on hitting for this scrimmage and they did just that. Everybody had solid at bats and the team looked good for the early outing. Look forward to seeing everybody at practice Sunday the 16th at 8:45 am at Alameda High.
