News and Announcements

Cats start the season with a loss to the Chaos.  It was a well played game, but the bats were mostly silent!  JJ stunned the crowd with a great triple play!  Keri finished it up for her with a great stretch and catch at first.  Lauren had a really nice play at the plate to keep the score 0 - 0 in the first inning.  Way to start it off!  Jenna had her bat going with a 2 for 3 outing.  Meghan and Beth filled in, with Betsey as our permanent sub for the spring.

Saturday we went 2 - 0 beating the Classics in a pitcher's duel.  The Cats came out on top 2 - 0.  In the second game, it was a slugfest against the Troy Xtreme.  The Cats managed to squeak out of that one 10 - 9.  It was good to get those wins!

Sunday was a bust as we sat at KAA all morning and had the tournament canceled at 11:30 am.  It was a long morning to sit at the park and not even get in a game!  But, we finished the tournament with 2 wins and 1 loss, and look forward to our next weekend on the fields!

Once we get hitting and some consistency on the field, it will be a fun season!  Lets go CATS!!!!

In their first practice outside for the spring, the Cats played a 3-game round robin friendly against 3 of the best 18U teams in St. Louis!  It was a tough way to start the outside practice, but they fared pretty well!  They beat the Fusion Gold 3 - 2 to start the day in a tough, hard fought game.  Then, the Chaos schooled them and gave them LOTS of fielding practice!  The Cats lost that game 20 - 2!  YIKES!  But they did not hang their heads and give up, and they came back to put 6 quick runs on the Energy in the first two innings to win the last game of the day, 8 - 4.  The fielding looked a little rough in a couple of spots and it was obvious that the outfield gets no real work indoors in the winter.  But, for their first time on dirt outdoors, it was a successful day!  Way to battle and get those games in, CATS!
