20 Jan. 03. The DC United MLK Dream Cup attracted (4) top Div. 1-2/U11 teams in the area to compete in a grueling one day back-to-back tournament held at the Discovery Sports Center in Germantown, MD, on 20 Jan. 2003. Teams played 3-4 games of 2 x 20 min. halves w/2 min. halftime in almost 3-4 hours. Inter Bethesda couldn't get past formidable MSC United in the opener, but managed to prevail over very good FESC Rangers and REST FC '91 teams in the next two games to advance to the championship game against MSC United. IB's offense was shutdown by MSC United who won the match/championship,7-0.
24 Nov. 02. Due to rainy, wet weather during the week, the Saturday games (23 Nov. 2002) were canceled to allow fields to dry, and rescheduled on Sunday, 24 Nov. 2002; but, all games were shortended to 30 minutes with no halftime, which proved to be IB's achilles heel. In the end, Inter Bethesda lost to the ABGC Midtown Sharks, 0-1, tied DCST Blue Thunder and the Jersey Crew Celtics in both games, 0-0.

IB played another tough match in its 4th game against the Strike Force (NJ), with the scored tied 0-0 at halftime. But, IB stormed back in the 2nd half with a 3-0 victory.
