Miamisburg Vikings

Jimmy Tuccillo was "Mr. Versatility" for the Vikings in 2009.  He played goalkeeper for the first portion of the season and then switched to forward to help the team later in the year.  His commitment to doing what was best for the team was critical to the team's success. He completed all five team expectations coming into the season. 

In 2009, his junior season, Jimmy played five games in goal with 1 shutout and 35 saves.  He then played up top where his 18 shots delivered 4 goals.  Two of those goals were game winners.  He was tied for third on the team in scoring with 8 points.  He started 14 matches and earned the following honors:

- GWOC South Second Team All Conference

- Dayton South Third Team All Area

In 2010, his senior season, Jimmy once again played multiple positions to help the squad. He was named team captain, earned his third varsity letter, started 15 matches and for the second year in a row was voted GWOC South Second Team All Conference and Dayton South Third Team All Area. 

Dear Players and Parents,

I want to thank each of you for your contribution to our soccer program this year.  We enjoyed another successful season and I could not be prouder of the way we conducted ourselves.  I shared with our coaching staff how blessed we are to have the families we have in our program.

I do want to share a couple exciting pieces of news.  First, John Porter and Eric Schwartz will be representing Miamisburg at the MVSCAA Senior All-Star game on Sunday, 11/14 at 3:30pm.  The match will be played at Bellbrook High School. 

Secondly, we have been working with Grunder landscaping and our school administration to look at fixing our soccer field.  This past week we met and have been given approval to move forward with plans to completely regrade and replace our pitch in the spring.  MANY DETAILS still need to be worked out, plus final approval of the funding, but we are moving in the right direction on this important item.

I close with encouragement to each of you to get better this off-season....to push yourselves to your potential....to reach your best, first time, every time.  We must get better if we want to obtain our goals.  I can guarantee you that the coaching staff will be improving this off-season.

Uniform turn-in on Monday, 11/8 from 5:30 to 7:00pm at the gym.  Players must be present to vote on player awards.

Soccer Banquet on Monday, 11/22 from 6:00 to 9:30pm at the HS commons.

The MSA Vikings Soccer Camp (Session 1) will be held at Medlar View June 21 - 24. We need 15 players to staff the camp each day. The shift is from 6pm-9pm. The Vikings will be staffing the Yankee Auto Bath on Saturday, June 26 from 10am - 3pm. We will also be grilling and selling hotdogs and burgers to the car wash customers. We need 20 players and friends and 5 adults for each shift, so invite your friends and family members to this event! To volunteer for a shift, please send an email to mailto:miamisburg.vikings.soccer@gmail.com?subject=Car%20Wash with the names of players/friends/family members and the shift for which you are volunteering. Please clearly identify which of the volunteers are adults and which volunteers are players or other helpers.
